Nothing is impossible
Every morning whilst I walk my eldest daughter to school, I see a man on a bicycle. “Nothing out of the ordinary there”, you’re probably thinking, “what’s so special about that?”. Well, this guy is different. Come sunshine, rain, gales or snow, he’s there. He wears a backpack on his back and he’s looking straight ahead, pedalling furiously, clearly intently focused on where he’s going. He also happens to only have one arm.
I’ve never spoken to him, or even made eye contact with him. I don’t know his name, what he does for a job, or how old he is. And yet somehow I feel a strong connection to him. Because every time I see him I feel inspired. Inspired to push myself that bit further. Inspired to stop complaining and get on with the business of living my life in exactly the way that I want to. Inspired to keep moving forwards, to stay positive, to continue to challenge myself beyond what I previously thought I was capable of.
Without knowing it, he’s making me believe that anything is possible. Every morning now I look out for him – searching for my daily dose of inspiration. And so even though he will probably never read this, this is my way of saying thank you to him.
“Nothing is impossible. The word itself says “I’m possible”!” (Audrey Hepburn)

Isn’t it funny how we can find inspiration in so many ways?

Excellent! I love seeing things like that. You may be surprised how many people look at you and your journey and take inspiration from that.

Such a simple everyday occurrence but one that passes most people by! Isnt it wonderful how unknowingly he is paying it forward as you are doing Chloe!

The funny thing is, since I wrote this blog post 2 months ago, I haven’t seen him. Not once. I’m beginning to wonder if I’ve hallucinated him in order to give a message to myself! Hmmm…
